Noob HK600GT w/DX8 in over my head

AS it says I think im in over my head. Been racing R/C cars and trucks for almost 20 yrs now and got bored. Stepped up to Helicopters instead. What a rush. I traded for 5 different helis. 2 belt cp, 2 HK600gt and 1 indoor cpx. Love the HK600GT. A little windy here in the Colorado mountains all the time. Upgraded form and ESKY 6ch radio to a Spektrum DX8 with the TM1000 and AR8000. Ha no issues flying around with ESKY radio, but a different story with the DX8. Have no idea how to set up the Gyro settings, Pitch curve, Thottle curve. The more I mess with it, the more I mess it up. Ended up having to get new blades, tail boom, belt, head, Landing gear. Figured id ask the friendly pros on here.

Quick run down of the equipment I have on both choppers.
ESC: HK-SCH70A
Motor: Turnigy 600 4030-1100kv
Tail Servo: Spektrum H5020g digital
Gyro: GY48V
Elev/AIL servos: EXI 226F
Radio: Spektrum DX8 w/ ar8000 and TM1000.

Any advise and help is greatly appreciated

Just guessing but likely to be in the forum related to the size heli he is running after you pointed out in the other thread the issue of under rated electronics.
