Default Want to paint my canopy

I just bought a TT Raptor 50 used. The canopy is plain white and I want to paint it. What's the best paint to use? It seems to be either a PVC material or is it plastic?

It is a milk container and paints like it is one lol
you can paint it with krylon but I wouldn't expect it to stay on the canopy least I never had luck with the paint staying on the canopy
So I bought a fusuno canopy looks cool
I have heard that primer for the plastic bumpers on cars will ecth the canopy and adhear better and if that works then paint to flavor but make sure you clear coat so that the paint doesn't get eat up by the oils and exhaust that will take the paint right off
Good luck

Nitro can eat a lot of paints quite badly. Perhaps look at using the 'plastic' paints as suggested, then put an automotive clear coat over them. (worked for mine 4 years back, and it's still going strong!)

LOL, to the first post. Thanks for the info. My flying buddy told me to use the Rustoleum plastic paint. I will use that and a 2 part car clear coat. I just wanted to make sure this project does'nt go FUBAR on me. Come to think of it now ---it does look like a flying milk jug.

Don't expect this work all that well. I've used MEC Flexible Primer Surfacer before laying down color. You could then use the recommended Krylon Fusion on top of that. My experience was simply that nothing really produced a high quality finish. It made it a different color, but not a nice finish. I'd be amazed if using the two part clear coat will stay put. I'd like to hear from you if you go for it. In the end, I found it far less expensive to order a fiberglass canopy painted professionally. LOL.
