Default Demo flight Fusion 90 at 3D Masters Venlo

Not best quality since I was placed behind the safety net. Still here the Fusion 90 from Venlo.

I took these today at IRCHA.. and tomorrow I'll ask Greg if I can take off the canopy and take a ton of close ups. I also got video of a flight.. it's looks to be a WINNER!!!!! .. I will share that soon.

hmm still no herringbone or slash cut gears... you would think that would have been first and foremost on the list.

wonder what the TT drive gears look like..
CY is going with Metal helical cut gears on the ballistic..

90 needs to be bulletproof.

hope it is..

I agree helical gears would be a nice touch. But with mod1 not really as needed (still would be a good idea).

Ya, I don't think the 7HV has that either, and you probably saw the 2500 rpm video.

Well here already a few pictures I took at IRCHA. I will post the demo flight video in an hour.

BTW - it sure would be cool to have the option for helical cut gear or even slash cut gears. However that would require pretty good setup on installations since those have to be adjusted and lined up right. Not sure if we really would gain performance but it would be more quite for sure. Also price would go up that way. It would be cool to have it as an upgrade option for 50 and 90 size helis.

running a 90 size at 2500 rpm is almost insane since due to the weight of the blades you put extreme stress on all head related parts. Doable but not for very long since you call for material failure sooner or later. I had the 700e and a converted 700 running at that head speed. Again -> just requires preventive parts changes on the head a bit more often.
Gaining performance? Not that much but in exchange using up power much quicker. I would assume the 90 will run almost similar head speed as the Fusion 50.

Not sure what HS where you hit the point of diminishing returns, believe it or not but you might get the same performance at 2200-2300 HS as 2400 but with longer flight times.

Anyone have an idea of what the production canopy will look like? Or am I looking at it?

I have no idea of the canopy color scheme. The one on the pictures and video was a special one for the 3D Masters 2011. Will be interesting and I am sure it will look cool. Also it might not take very long to get alternate canopies with different color schemes.

Thanks -> I tried to work the camera better than at 3D Masters. I only published the previous 3D Masters unveil video because it was the only video at all. So there will be more popping up now. I saw OutrageRC also published one (taped from left site possibly one of the days before).
I like the look of the heli. Also like the spots for the electronics (FBL sensor ...). It will be interesting to see the final production version of it.

Are the dimensions the same as the Velocity 90?
