Default Use RX2442 vs. RX2423 until I go brushless?

Question!

I have a CB180D (w/direct drive tail mod and 11.1 lipo battery upgrade), and need to buy a new RX. Eventually I may want to do a brushless mod like this (http://www.rtf-heli.com/WALKERA_CB180D_TBRUSHLESS.html). I see that this place recommends the RX2442, (they have a RX2421 in the heli in the video as well though) and I am wondering if anyone knows if the RX2442 will work with my brushed motors until I decide to go brushless. My TX is the standard WK-2402. Any help greatly appreciated!

As a side note, I totally recommend the DD tail mod for the CB180D. Its a very cheap upgrade for big payoff in the air. I also just used a 5/16 oak wood dowel for the tail boom until I get around to the carbon thing (also wanted to keep the old shaft drive tail boom together as a backup).

Thanks again!
