Not sure but no matter what I did, model type or settings, the left
Roll was somehow effected by dual rates, throttle and flight
Mode switch. At some combinations of these switches, there was some left roll, some none and others uncontrollable roll to the right.

This is on rf7 btw.

Finally got time to solder and set this up. The soldering was a snap thanks to the great pictures and HF trail blazers in this forum!

Programming Jeti and RF7 was somewhat of a challenge. For some reason my channel 1 was always acting funky in RF, even though it looked perfect from the Jeti. I worked around this by not using channel 1 and moving aileron (roll) to channel 7. All good now.

I played with the PPM frame rate between 10 and 30 ms with no improvement on this flakey channel 1 problem. Settled on 20ms as recommended.

Bubbasanjohn,
Was that the same problem and fix you came up with?

Ok, here is what works for me.

RX
set up I am using a r3-ex. I have output mode to ppm negative, output period of 20ms, channels 8. (selected ppm - as we are setting up a futaba radio)

TX.
Set up a heli model named realflight. Mechanical swash, standard flight modes and typical throttle curves.
servo assignments:
1=roll
2=elevator
3= throttle
4=yaw
5=2 pos switch
6= flap (7 knob on my tx)
7= 2nd 2 position switch
8= 3 pos switch.
I did have to add +64% right roll trim to compensate for realflight fubarness.

Realflight
Set up in RF, Futaba TX, edit to the following
RF ch1= 1aileron
ch2= 2 elev
3= throttle
4= rudder
5= dual rates
6=flaps
7= REVERSED 7 smoke
8=mode.
I have both check boxes below enabled to allow software radio mixes and enable software radio dual rates and expo.
Save as another TX name, I used jeti.

That should do it.

Yeah dongles are not interchangeable. Rf 7 is better than 6.5 IMHO. Also easier to set up with jeti.

My real flight 7.5 has a calibration mode that lets you move sticks and find centers. That may fix bubba's roll problem. It's under the same menu that lets you select another receiver to work with real flight. At least you can watch inputs and see what they do. Dan
