I feel for you guys. I HATE the cold immensly.

Luckily for me I live in Australia on the coast, so it doesnt get colder than 10 degrees Celsius here.

Although that doesnt mean that it is good for flying. Atm we have beautiful sunny days but it is blowing a bloody gale outside. Havent been able to fly for 5 days.

Of course it started blowing right after I fixed the backyard up so that I can fly circuits with the 450.

Oh well hopefully the wind will die off tonight and I can fly tomorrow( 2 days off). Keep your fingers crossed for me.

incredible.

INSTEAD....living here in upstate, NY....I am getting drysuit qualified 2 weeks from now. Doing my pool dives on the 23rd, then the weekend after Xmas I'm doing two dives in the St. Lawrence River (the big waterway that separates the US from Canada for the geographically challenged)

Current water Temp is 38 degrees.

Speaking as a Swede living in Minnesota who is quite acclimated to the winter cold, DIVING IN THE ST. LAWRENCE IN THE WINTER IS TRUELY NUTS!

But don't worry, at 38 F your face won't really fall off, it will only feel that way for a coupla hours.

May I suggest a really hot sauna just before you jump in?

Don't worry Mike, the chopper will hide in the hanger when it hits that cold water!

Couldn't sleep, it's an old fart thing, thought maybe I'd take a quick hover around the lighted parking lot accross the street. Looked at the thermometer on the deck. -15 F. I don't know why I live in this icebox. Went back down to my nice warm workshop and started working on a coupla projects. Hovered a Lama around the workshop. Started setting up the CopterX 250. Gonna be pretty cool. Gotta deciede on a motor. Gonna go make some hot chocolate.
