Default Updating 12ZH

I downloaded the latest updated and unzip the file. I found a folder named update and a pdf file showing the changes. I copied the update folder on to my CF card and installed it in the transmitter. Changed the switch to update and turned on the power. The screens shown were like the update page listed in the back of the manual but the uploading just freezes seconds after it starts. I have left it in this mode for 10 minutes with no change. If I turn off the power switch like the manual says to abort the update the unit stays powered up. The only way I can get the unit to power down is to remove the batter. Now when I power up the unit it just shows a blank screen and the 12ZH blinks yellow.

Does anybody have any suggestions? Did I install the files wrong on the CF card?

Sounds like the update process hosed your radio. Probably a bad/incompatible CF card. Anyway, if the radio isn't booting up normally, try getting a different CF card and retry the update. If that fails, then you'll need to get it serviced.

RCfan,

Is the only file I need to put on the CF is the UPDATE folder with the files in the 0 folder?

The following is a list of the files.

Genm2329.cde
Genw2329.cde
T12Z_APP.bin
T12Z_BT.bin
uGen2329.cde

Do I need any files at the root dir of the CF? Any other instructions I need to know?

Nope, you've got it straight. I'm guessing that the radio is toast due to the partial firmware install.

If you flip the update switch and power-up without a CF installed it should give an error. If it doesn't, a service trip is needed.
