Default helicommand 3a interface.. construction .

hi.. new to helifreak and relatively new to rc helicopters, so seeking words of wisdom/help from those who know!
I have just acquired a helicommand 3a and was wondering if it would be possible to construct an interface lead to pc or even use the flymentor lead in any way?
The only reference and construct diagram i can find is ..

http://antibore.wordpress.com/2010/1...o-helicommand/

The circuit looks very simple and i'm been told TOO simple to work ?
So please could anyone shed any light or help with diagrams/schematics or even just a pic of hc3 circuit board.
links/addresses ,anything!
thanks if ya can.

Are you looking to build the interface for the HC3A?....
Easy enough just to purchase.

But if your into tinkering, I assume your looking for this...

Smile I would build and try it

I have not looked at the signals to and from my helicommand, but the circuit looks fine. Just because it's simple does not mean it won't work. It's just translating levels from RS232 to the single wire interface of the helicommand. It's not going to cost much to build and test it. I would give it a try.

If I can get some time this week I will connect my o-scope to mine and see what the signals look like. But don't wait for me as I might not be able to get to it because of other things I need to do.
