I am ready to maiden, but I checked the cg and with the battery as far forward as I can get it the the heli is still tail heavy, is it that critical , do I need perfect cg? I know it will fly but how badly? should I add weight ? I'm using tp 1300's

How bad is the CG off?

Where is your canopy mounted? If it's tail heavy, move the canopy out to the far mounting position.

the tail drops fairly quickly, I'm using the angry bird canopy( I bought a crashed one and this is what it came with) which is probably heavier than the stock one. I can get the battery half off the mounting plate before it touches the canopy, the esc is a talon 35 which I will move forward but that doesn't weigh much at all.

I have been running two, Eflite 1300 mah batteries in series in my original Warp (these were leftovers from my ParkZone Wildcat). I have them far forward and get good CG.

In my second Warp, I am running Gens Ace 1600 mah batteries. I have them all the way back in the tray and have good CG.

The first machine will be modified to use the single Gens Ace battery as I am getting much better power.

Both machines are running the stock canopy in the newer, farther forward position (with the extended tongue and the canopy mounting holes further back).
