+1 - amen brother. My biggest fear is that if we keep bashing him, we will lose what support we have on Align issues.

Hi,
Learn to capatalize your i as in I am. Or,
I've been to the moon, to see the stars.
Oh ah, then read the thread above the one you quoted.

I would suggest reading these threads in sequence, top down.

I don't write Malay very well either.
Belajar capatalize i anda seperti dalam saya. Atau, Saya telah ke bulan, untuk melihat bintang. Oh ah, kemudian membaca thread atas satu kamu sebutkan. Saya ingin mencadangkan membaca benang dalam urutan, atas ke bawah.

Thanks for the PM Dino, my friend.

Yes, thanks Dino. I've been avidly reading up on the 700E DFC HV since purchasing one recently, and your efforts on this forum have been fantastic. I can see most people here really appreciate what you are doing, me included. Cheers.

Thanks Dino...I really do appreciate you keeping us in the loop.

It's nice to have someone from Align up here in the forums watching what is going on with the products and sending the feedback over to Taiwan. Keep up the good work.....

Dino is an Align Guy. He helps Align in many ways. He does this out of his own time. To make sure that others have information. I've seen him get attacked for just pointing out solutions. I know as a hobbyist he just wants fellow pilots to be able to have fun and enjoy the hobby. Rather than be negative he has stayed the course trying to help. Others would have just went silent or be not present.

Dino just want to say thank you for your posts.

Dino a Align guy!

Best Regards,
Jeff Fassbinder

Well with rumours of the UK not getting the upgraded parts till January, I've ordered mine from oomodel.com with the fast air shipping (4-7 days) so hopefully they will be delivered before I get home for the holidays and start my build. Will have to see!

I was tempted to order from over seas too, but I'm away over Christmas so may as well wait.
Bought my kit from Fast Lad, I'm kind of hoping they will supply the parts FOC...

Guys, there is no way one should have to work over 4 hours to get a umbrella gear into a bearing without destroying the bearing.

The new umbrella for the tail is seriously too large for the bearing.

F#$* *$#@@ Align you guys made that gear tight didn't ya!

Just a word of encouragement to anyone doing the new black gear into the tail boom bearings upgrade it can be done. I was just about to give up.

I had to file a bit of a chamfer on the gear shaft end, then put the bearings with tail case into the oven at 100 deg. Put the black gear in the freezer.

Be patient as it takes some time for the heat and cold to soak into the materials. Took me 4 - 5 goes to get a start on it.

Once you get a nice straight start with brute hand force and the shaft is into the first bearing cover the ground with a thick cloth so you dont damage the gear (i used a jumper) hold the case and pound the gear into the bearing while its still hot.

I didnt have a vice so this was my only option, id certainly recommend getting i vice if you dont have one before you attempt the upgrade!

Be sure there are no kids around because you will be swearing hahaha

Lol. Yes they did, no reason for it to be 0.07mm to big. I can see it being 0.01.

the old gear will tap out if you use a screw driver from the inside if the bearing comes out with it not a big deal just you a pair a wire cutter and keep cutting the old gear to get the bearing off. Now install the bearing back into the case now take the new gear and the old tail out put shaft insert the small end into the new gear now place on a solid surface and tap into place with a hammer should take no more then 10 mins
