Yes, that would be fine, you may need to shift some electronics around to get CG right. My 8s evolite 4270 balances just fine.

Looking to get more 6s power and have 2 options 1 is the new align 650l or the Scorpion HK4020-1390.
I had thought about waiting for the scorpion 4025-1100 as I have seen on here that this should be a good 6s setup but I don't want to wait. So out of the available align 650l and the 4020-1390 what one will work best at the moment I have the standard motor running as hard as it can and it is pretty poor power wise. My 450 has more balls than the 600. I am going to replace the blades and servo's aswell to get it flying like it should. |

Its OK lads I'm getting a 700N so that has the power sorted
So I can now wait on scorpion bringing out a decent 6s motor. |

GIR8, I have tried the scorpion 4020-1390 on my trex 600 and it provided good power but the motor , battery and ESC got too hot to an almost thermal shut down and I only got 4 min flight times. I switched back to my z30 1100 for now. I am waiting for the 4025-1400 to come out and a guy who has been testing the prototype says it gives awesome power on 6S. I'll just wait if I were you.

And to compare any of the above mentioned setups to 6S, probably needless to say BIG difference. No problems to power a 90size E heli with 6-7KW, but you need deep pockets $$$$ to keep it running as power levels like this stress packs and motors to the extreme and thus a short life cycle.

Awsome 600e power setup
I have just upgraded my 600e CF after a year of steady flying from Align stock motor and speed control to a scorpion 890kv motor and a Phonix HV-85 and EVO25 5000 6 cell and a 2 cell hooked in series. Awsome power and nice balance of electronics, every thing was cool or just mildly warm.

650L motor 145 100amp esc 105 Zippy H 20-30c 5000mah 128 Right now Im happy with my stock esp electrics.... |

Flying the same setup with the exception or the ECS. I felt the temps were to high which equates extra stress on the rest of the components. switched this weekend to the Scorpion 4025-1100 and picked up more power and a more cooler and efficient setup. Check out the FDR post for a graph of the motors performance and temps. https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=24113&page=7 Good bye 650L motor and the smell of burnt paint.

Hello everybody, I've been reading the post and I'd like to do some questions. A few days ago I purchased the motor Scorpion HK-4025-1100kv. My questions are: Does milliamps 8s need to fly about 5 minutes? 3000 milliamps is enough? And to make battery packs 8s can join 5s and 6s and 2s or 3s, or must always be two 4s? Ah! HV DC is the drive. |

A 4000 8S pack, depending on motor and setup, and with a head speed in the 2000 RPM range, you should get about 5 minutes of run time. With a hot setup, flying hard the entire run, and 2200 RPM, you will get about 4 minutes of flying time. Joining multiple packs requires at least two very important steps: check the cell voltage of all 8 cells before a run. Be sure they are very similar. And then check them after the run. They should again be very similar. If you are seeing all the cells from one pack lower than all the cells from the other, consider not doing it again. You can only put packs together that are identical in capacity (milliamps), vintage (age), and brand. If you end up running the packs individually in another heli, be sure to run them in a similar fashion and the same number of cycles. The risks associated with running multiple packs are not trivial. |
