Put 2 packs through so far today. Both packs came down with 3.9 per cell. I may up my timer some. 5 Minutes of easy flying is nice. I have my governor set at 2100-2300-2400. I may redo it some. So far I have flown at 2100. I have not flipped or rolled it yet. I want to make sure I have my power issue fixed. I redid the connector again. I hope it works this time.
I also started using rclogbook to track flights and battery use.

I flew the GensAce pack today. A 5 minute flight and it came down with 3.89 per cell. No fancy stuff yet. I want to make sure the power holds. The heli is flying great. I am very happy that I got it. I can't wait to fly it again.

Still flying great. After 5 minutes in the air it comes down with 3.9 volts per cell. I know once I start some 3d it will probably change. Kinda once not having tout a storage charge on the pack.

I finally got the guts to flip it. I will say it is easier to stop it inverted than my other helis.

Which way is everyone putting the lipos in? If I put it in this way
It slides in and out very easy, but it touches the pinion. If I turn it this way It clears the pinion but is very tight in the frame. My biggest issue is getting the canopy on easy. It seems that the wires make it a pain. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

I have like three of those packs for my Logo 500 and 600SE.
I believe they have outer aluminum plates, so if you can mount them like the first pic. Aren't they a little big for a heli spinning 470's? Maybe 3700 might be better? What is the C rating for those? 35C ? |

They are 45C. I can get 5 minutes on them and come down with 3.8 per cell. I have a GensAce 3700mAh/35C that fits a lot better. I need to fly it more. I have 4 cycles on it so far. It comes down about the same as the Glaciers. I only have 14 logged flights on the heli, maybe another 4 for testing. I saw somewhere that people flew with a 5000mAh pack. I guess the C rate has a lot to do with size.

C rating does indeed have alot to do with size and weight of a battery.
Been pondering myself to get a 5000mah battery, but it's around 160-170grams heavier than my current Gens Ace 4000mah 25C packs. I don't think I will get THAT much more flight time out of a 5000mah considering the extra weight. The stock motor for the 480xx doesn't need a high C rating, 25C will suffice. So you can shave of some weight and pennies there, and get a slightly higher capacity pack. I'm getting around 6 minutes doing soft sport flying with a 4000mah pack.

I crashed into a tree today. Took out the main blades, canopy, tail boom, and got the main gear a bit. Every thing but the canopy is on order. I hope to have it back in the air by the end of the week.

I got a little to cocky with it. Trying some new things and just got too close to a tree. It looks like the parts from MikadoUSA will get here by Wednesday. I am not sure about the main blades. I did find a set of Edge blades, also have a set of RJX on order.

I had 2 sets of main blades come in today. 1 set do Edge and a set of RJX. The Edge blades weigh 72g each, while the RJX weigh in at 70g.
They are very close to the same length. I have not had a chance to fly the RJX yet . I have a pack on charge now. I will post back later with results. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
