Unhappy Blade 300X with Turnigy 9XR (OpenTX) setup

Hello people

I jusr resently got myself a Blade 300X.. I have flow a few smaller 4CH heli's before this, and I thought It might be a good ste up

Now.. I have a Turnigy 9XR radio, with OpenTX firmware. With that I can fly Horizon's BNF planes just fine. I cannot get the 300X heli to work well however

First thing was the channel mapping. To my knowlidge, that should be:
Chan-1 throttle
Chan-2 aileron
Chan-3 ele
Chan-4 rud
Chan-5 gear/ gyro gain
Chan-6 aux1/ pitc

That work a LITTLE.. I have sudden motor-spinups however, with the stick at 0.
The tail doesn't respond to stick movement.. And the swash sometimes does..

When I throttle up a little, There are occasional rev-ups as well..

I have no mixes programmed in the controller. Only 3 throttle-curves and 3 pitch curves..

I'm really looking forward to flying this machine, but I'm getting nowhere this way
So, I'm kinda hoping some else has this combo of TX and heli over here..

Kind regards!
Roeland

Not familiar with OpenTX, however from what you described it appears the frame rate may be incorrect. I fly a 300X with a TX9R, stock firmware, and an OrangeRX transmitter module. The transmitter module must be set to TAER channel order and DSMX-11ms mode, 11ms is the frame rate. Hope this helps.

Thank you for the reply Ron
I was wondering if had something to do with the frame-rate. I can only lower it to 12.5 though :O
With the frame rate at 12.5 I ONLY get a high speed spin up..

In my transmitter I can set the frame-rate, but allso a second parameter. I do not know what that is.. It's set to 300u at the moment. Any idea on that maybe?

Can you post your model/radio settings? I'll take a look and see if I see the problem.

I just received a used 300x but it doesn't have the FBL controller/receiver - I'll be using a separate receiver and BeastX unit but I would think the radio programming would be close to the same.

Oeps.. sorry for the late responce! I didn't get a notification regretably..

I didn't know one could use the BeastX FB controller with a seperate receiver? To my knowlidge, the receiver is build in?

Anyhow.. What transmitter sender would you need from me?

kind regards,
Roeland
