Default 9C GV1 setup

I cant find my manual for my 9C and this is my 1st gov
I have 2 screens for the governor on the Tx
I want to turn the gov on with switch d and want
say 14000 on my normal mode, and 1850 on idle 1 and 2
Page 1 says
(Governor) (1/2)
(Act)
Rate-Up 0.0%
Down 100.0%

Switch D

Page 2 says
(Governor) (2/2)

Mix-Act

Cut-Ch -- Ch8
Dir-- -Limit

Cut Sw- D

if you can help with clarification, I would really appreciate it!

Nice alternative to RR BTW
was pretty psyched when I found it

Steve,
I use Futaba radios, but have not used a 9C enough to be familar with it.
I use the 9Z. Eric Larson and Clintstone use the 9C. So they can probably get you headed in the right direction.

You want to tie the speed function into the idle up switch.
Then you need to on/off switch to be a separate switch. You also have the option of using the throttle stick as a stick switch function to turn the GV1 off and on. If your using a TJ, I believe that the stick is how you turn it off and on the way it is set up.

You can use both the stick and the switch to turn the GV-1 on or off, and set the throttle positions with a switch as well. The best thing to do would be to get a pdf version of the 9C manual and the GV-1 manual from the futaba website and go through the setup using those.

I agree...

setup one switch to enable/disable the governor.

Setup your flight mode (normal/idle up-1, idle up-2)switch to select your three (or two if you only use one idle up mode) rotor speeds.

Setup the governer to enable/disable with the throttle stick position.

This way, when you select normal flight mode to land or hit your throttle hold switch the governer will automatically disengage when you want the engine to go to idle.

You can also turn off the governor to make sure that your 'back up' throttle curves are correct. Ot when you are tuning your engine and do not want the governor engaged.

You can choose different head speeds for the type of flying which you are doing. I use three head speeds 1550, 1750 and 1850 RPM.

You can also set a master On/Off switch on the Throttle Jockey governor same as the GV-1. Plus you can have it on stick priority as well.

I REALLY prefer a master on/off switch for a governor cause you never know when you may need it.
