Default A bit confused adjusting the tail with ZYX

Here is what I did:

Followed FBL gyro configuration V1.22 Tail setup tab and here's what I got:

My questions are:
  1. I'm setting up a Blade 450 3D and in the Blade video they say to adjust the servo rod or servo position to have the pitch slider at 90deg (Gyro in Normal mode), but on V1.22 they ask to adjust it to have 8 deg, Why?
  2. I did adjust to 8 deg and then setting the limits in HH mode I get A at 125 and B at 70. That look normal to me because by adjusting the 8 deg my pitch slider is now a bit on the right so that is why I get a lower B value. Is that ok or should the numbers be equals. This threat at sect 17 make me wonder

1. We give the tail a bit of anti-torque pitch at center to optimize piro behavior in the hover. If you don't plan to do a lot of hovering or smack 3D, this is not critical.
2. Sounds like the Blade 450 has poor tail geometry. The travel limits don't need to be equal, just make sure it doesn't bind at both ends.

I have seen this before and not really looked into it but how do you adjust the tail to get the 8 degree offset, or rather how do you measure pitch on the tail?

Fold the tail blades 90° and look from the back of the heli when you adjust rudder.
I usually print out/cut out a 8° triangle for reference.

If you fold the blades and look at the angle between them, that triangle should be 16*...

Thanks for the response, that is a simple setup and now that you mention it I remember seeing that as a way to setup the main blade pitch on small birds. I will do that tonight
