I like Blade myself, in my eyes your just fanboys protecting the brand now.

Well yeah, SAFE in an micro is awesome.
But Blade should be able to do better to satisfy all costumers.

Lets face it, "Blade nano CP x" is already developed and its only manufacturing costs, SAFE is already developed, brushless motor and ESC is already developed. Yes I know its in a new "package" and a new board, but still.

To satisfy a lot of us, they needed to get piro comp working and integrate that brushless ESC into the 3-1 board and use the already produced brushless motor for the nano cpx.

If they had done that, and surprised us with SAFE as an extra function most would be much more happy.

And theres no reason for all the other changes, it just makes getting parts for the "old" nano cpx harder, and creating a reason for people to buy a "new" helicopter when its not really needed.
Full disclosure: I own Blade, HiSky, and WL Toys micros.

You're arguing that an unsupported heli shipped from China direct (or sometimes a USA warehouse) for $60 is a better value than a $90 heli that comes with two batteries, a manual that I can understand and works with a good radio??? Oh yeah, it has bailout too.

Lay down the pipe... check into rehab.

So your saying Futaba 18MZ or Futaba 6J are bad radios?

I have not seen the manual of that bird, but it includes one, and extra batteries you can always buy.

Whats wrong with chinese brands?

I'd prefer Spektrum, but which one is Futaba compatible and I can fly in my living room. And i mean fly, like figure eights and stuff, not hovering.

I doubt many people are flying $100 BNF helis with $3,000 radios......

Why not? I mean if someone owns one...

I fly everything I own with my DX18. Way different class, but my DX7s is purely a backup, I don't fly a different TX because I happen to be flying a micro, or quad, or whatnot.

Sadly indoor living room chinese CP I cannot.

But what I can show you is Blade Nano CP X brushless.

Sadly even with a motor that already fits the ncpx frame only needing to replace stock brushed ESC in 3-1 board with brushless Blade didnt do it.

I wonder if the current nCPX brushless upgrade kit would drop right into the new Nano. If so, then the solution already exists. Even better for the tons of people who already have that kit where they could potentially pull it from an old donor nCPX.

I'm sure some of those chinese CP helis are good. Here's why I myself haven't bought any yet:
-I can't pop into my LHS for parts (which are as cheap as from abroad)
-I can even return unused parts NIP at my LHS and buy stuff I need
-I'd have to wait like 3 weeks for parts from China
-Unsure as to how long I can get parts for one of these
-Only know of Banggod selling parts
-Never seen any aftermarket stuff for them
-Don't want to put a sat on a micro (I'm happy with Spektrum)

And it's totally fine that others feel otherwise. Simpy don't buy one and leave this tread if you get upset. There are other forums for stuff that YOU like

I like blade helies, I already got Nano CPX, Mcpx BL and 450x.

It just annoys me that this heli get this threatment, when I guess most of us heli fans wanted brushless and piro comp.

What this is for me is a wannabe quadcopter and tries to get in on that market.

Default Nano CP S is coming! :-)

this isn't even close to a quad even with safe you couldn't give a nano qx pilot a nano and have him not lose his mind in 5 minutes

is the motor different than the cpx motor ?

According to Blade's Brian James, HF members are a very small percentage of the customer base..."most of us heli fans" is not enough of a market to dictate what the customer base wants

If this is not the heli you want, just ignore it and wait for something you like better...not every platform can be designed with you in mind unless you have purchased thousands of units.

Once you become the majority customer base, Blade may well cater to your whims...it's a bit childish to complain that you're not being heard when you are in a single-digit minority

Alternatively, you could request a platform to your specs, and back it up with a 250,000 unit purchase guarantee...that might get some attention

My Nano dove into the ground several times for no apparent reason and bale out won't help this little guy when it decides to take a plunge either.

That's why I parked mine and just don't fool with it anymore.
I enjoyed it and learned a lot with it but there is only so much power you can get out of 1S and you just can't make them any lighter.

I still recommend them though to learn to fly.

New connectors on the motors could explain the new part numbers. Maybe they are not new at all.

Don't bet on it...the orientation of the new 3n1 and the new motor connector pretty much rule out the brushless kit from the nCPX

A much better option is to do a brushless outrunner conversion...twice the price, but 10 times the power with all the tail authority you will ever need

True on the outrunner. I dropped a tiny one in my original brushed mCPX and one to replace the stock inrunner on my 130X. They make a big difference. Cooler running, too.

I just pre- ordered one. I figured for the price I'd try it out!

Well I for one would be VERY disappointed if it's the same motor!

Brian, could you tell us about the main motor?

I just looked at the specs for the old an new. And to my surprise the motor diameter is the same: 197mm

If it's the same motor I'm not getting one - this has been my only complaint with the Nano. Yes the 3-in-1 boards easily get defective. But I'm hoping that after Mega's Micros repair they will last longer (bind). No issues for me so far...
