Build and setup done, ready to maiden

Just finished setup today Ready to maiden and dial in the gov once these 40 mph winds stop. I also wanted to recommend the Fromeco pin switch I mounted under the heli. The Fromeco switch is nice because if it ever fails it will do so open so you have no crash risk. With the switch and Revglo/Revmax combo I only have to remove the canopy to swap or charge packs. I can pull the pin to power on the heli with the canopy on and the Revglo automatically ignites the glow plug when it senses the engine turning over. I've got my Velocity 50 N2 setup this way and it works great. So it's done and taken it's place in line with the rest of the fleet, now I just need to fill in that 700 spot,

Nice build, really like the pin flag on the bottom ive used the gaui push ignitor and perfect regulators safe switch was goin to reluctantly put a hole in the canopy to turn it on and activate the push glow that will now change once i track down the system your using Good Job

Bad news, I don't think that Revmax is going to fit under the lid. Could be wrong but that thing is tight.

That's the only place where it would fit and the wires reached. It's right in the spot where the canopy bulges out a little. The Gaui gov looked nice because it was slim however I wanted the auto sensing glow plug aspect of the Revglo which only works when used with a Revmax. It wouldn't fit on top because the canopy crushed the wires coming off the top of the unit. Mounted with the bottom attached to the side of the frame the canopy still put some pressure on the wires making it hard to get the canopy onto the pins. Mounting it like you see in the pics actually makes it slimmer than mounting the bottom to the frame. The way it is the canopy clears it with about 1/8" of clearance.......you are right, that canopy is tight, you need to be creative to make things fit.

Might try my larger lipo in the front again. Looks the same size as mine, but I couldn't get my canopy on.

Keep an eye on the servo lead on the rear servo. I've noticed the canopy is rubbing on mine, so will need to cover the lead or put something there to stand the canopy off slightly.

Have not flown mine yet this year, bad weather and work pressures. Seeing yours finished just makes me want to get out and fly it.

In the second picture, what is the blue thing with the wires under the Vbar? Is that part of the switch?

that is all part of the fremco switch. what your seeing is, i think a part of a regulator that is scaled down. its not a regulator and does nothing but serves as a pass threw. usually the fremco pin switch comes as part of a regulator kit, but when you call them to make one for your model they use the regulator internals to complete the power side of it. the wires coming out of it are, power source to the RX, and a lead to your battery. there is also a plug coming out of it going to the switch. it looks like alot but it really isnt.
