Thanks for the pics

Guys haven't ordered any batts yet, Based on these dimensions will these fit? I know they will slide in, but will they slide in far enough for cg, before I hit the tapered part, don't want to do any grinding. I don't own or have a batt this size to judge. I'm sure it would be fine but no such thing as sending batts back to hong kong

I may be mistaken (still haven't built) but isn't 40C overkill?... like 200 amps?

I think you can get by for 20C or maybe a bit more (saves weight and maybe money)... HFG or someone will know for sure.

I run 25C packs and they only get a touch warm after a hard flight.

running 25C here too.. and if you saw it flying at 2400 rpms i think you will agree 25c is plenty.

I have an ice 100 coming so I will do some data logs and see!

Default 40C packs

I don't think it's overkill. With care, it should mean that the battery will last longer, and provide a more consistent performance for the same flight duration or longer. You won't draw any more amps than full pitch. On mine, that's been 120+ amps. I think the rating game is rather crazy, but the fact is the battery should outlast and outperform lower rated batteries. I would probably become concerned at some point about the weight, but I don't think it will be a problem for someone like me who only is capable of smack flying on the simulator.

On another note, check out CoronaL's post:
