Default anyone know if ultra power chargers are any good?

just wondering if anyone has had experience with ultra power chargers.ive got my eye on an ac/dc 400w duo.supposed to have 400w on channel 1 or 200w on both channels.i like the idea of not needing a psu and will be charging 450 size 6s packs(14-1800mah). it will be just for home charging.anyone have any thoughts on this, should i stay clear of it,and if so suggestions or recommendations.thanx.

Never heard of it.. I'd stay away..

Read this "What Charger" thread..

https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=476431

and here's my take after 7 years in electric helis..

FMA and iChargers are the tops these days. FMA is known as the brand with the highest quality. I had a PL6 but sold it as I much prefer the iChargers. I now have an iCharger 306b and 4010Duo and have no complaints. I use dual deep cycles ($90 each) for 95% of my charging so I can fly and charge at the same time and save money by getting by only 2 lipos per model... really counts when you are using $300 12s stick packs.

Power supplies at www.feathermerchantrc.com are excellent and come ready to go.. these are server supplies.. designed for 24/7/365 use.. very high end. I bought the 24V47A version for home use.

Others prefer FMA so you should hear their feedback soon as well.

My solution for 95% of my charging today.

iCharger 4010 Duo. A little tour of Chernobyl (0 min 56 sec)

I thoroughly enjoy the iCharger DUO's screen and the information they deliver at a glance. There are a number of DUO models now and FMA also makes a PL8 DUO.. excellent charger.
