I finally had some time to get out and do some flying over the weekend. I believe I have reached my final settings for the tail on four helis. I have two MT w/ 350 blades and two B400 w/ 350 blades all running 6S. I captured some screen shows of settings....

Default New G31 Users Manual

We've just completed a new users manual for the G31. This manual covers the PC set-up process, setting up the governor and also provides details on the different settings in the Performance tab.

The manual is for the upcoming 0.98D version of the software (which will be released soon) but the rest is basically the same for the 0.98V version.

The manual is located at www.robird.net/g31 and can be downloaded from there.

Let us know what you think!

Also, we'll be announcing the U.S. website for the Robird distributor very soon - keep watching here for news.

500 cyclic: 18mm tail: 10mm
550 cyclic: 21mm tail: 13mm

700 cyclic: 11 to 12mm tail: 13 to 15mm
(Note: For 700 size helis the above distances are for push/pull systems)

Note: These are GENERAL guidelines and you should always refer to your helis assembly manual first.
It's gonna be impossible for me to get 18mm on the elevator servo. It will hit the tail boom block at full sweep.

those measurements are good for the trex pro, but for the sport and se v2 models they are different. the best thing to get is a swash leveler after getting the servo arms as to 90 degress as possible, then use sub trim to level out .

Those measurements are for center of servo horn-to-ball..right? It says 18mm for 500 size, not a problem on the aile/pitch as they are in the side..but at that length the elevator will looks like it will contact the tail boom block. Level swash@ 90/ zero pitch won't be an issue.

18mm is a reach, but another guy has his 500 set around 18.5mm. So it should work..I guess I'll see. Im sure grip ball distance from center of feathering shaft will play a big part in how much sweep it really needs..

I don't recommend using the Sub-Trim function in your transmitter to get the 90 degrees because the gyro will read these as input commands from the pilot and it will try to correct them.

Instead, go to the CollPit tab and use the LeftNeutral, CenterNeutral and RightNeutral functions to set your servo horn positions to 90 degrees.
