it depends on your flying style those plastic gear wont handle hard 3D over time they will just strip and cause a crash

While on the subject of throttle servos, any recommendations on HV throttle servos in both standard and mini sizes that allow free movement with no power?

I want to add throttle return springs to my Nitros as I have recently had two throttle servos fail ( luckily they were both on the ground and only one tipped over and sustained damage - but I don't want one flying an me with no throttle control).

thanks,
-GN

@tauscnc - I seem to encounter a lot of strange issues with my heli's as you seem to also We should start a support group.
My most recent issues were last Friday, the iKon on my NX4 wouldn't come out of setup mode, and one of my Goblin 500's has developed a very bad pulse/twitch. Haven't flown either for weeks before that and they were fine the last time I flew them.
I sometimes wonder why I have so many helicopters when I really don't get to the field much, and then I remember that it takes 10 helicopters on hand to have one running one at any point LOL

Lol GN.

I have been dwindling my fleet down from many to just two. A work horse T-Rex 700N and a temperamental NX4. I also had a little collection but really only flew one or two.

I have been contemplating getting a Goblin 500 but have to be honest with myself on charging packs and the sheer cost of the beast. I thought this little NX4 was pricy but the Goblin takes it to another level. Does look pretty freaking awesome thou.

GN, there was a recent post in the MSH Brain/ikon forum where corrado advised a user to update their unit to latest firmware to correct a pulsating twitchy swash, this sounds like a known issue with a recent but now out of date firmware. Not to go off topic but FYI

I will have to look into that - I thought that I was running the latest but I guess it may not be. I replaced all the servos and disabled the governor - my last step was going to be to replace the Talon with YGE ( wanted to do that anyways ). thanks for the tip.
