Default 425 Basic 1400Kv Castle75 - Power Cutting Out - HELP!

Can anybody please help, maybe i'm doing something really stupid or missing the point about power setups!

In general, I have the 425 basic with the frame upgrade to the Fibre frame. using the following:

GUEC GM-504 motor with 14T
Castle Creaton 75amp ESC
Standard Gearing: 50/19/61 which gives a gear ratio of 11.47
425 CF gaui blades & stock tail blades
3x Align DS510 & for tail a DS520
Gyro is a futaba GY520
Receiver is Futaba 6106

Also i taken some screen shots from the last data log (last flight) where on a power climb out the motor cut out then a few seconds later the power came back.

I can see on the chart that the current is giving me 104! is this wrong!!

I'm not familiar with that motor but with my scorpion 3026 1400kv I had issues with outrunner mode selected for pwm. I switched to 8khz and it's been fine since. maybe 16khz is too much? I'm just guessing here

Also did you try backing off the timing? It may make the difference

I had similar issues with my ICE 75 and my scorpion 3026-1400...turned out that the motor ran too hot for the GAUI setup, when i would run it on a hot 90+degree day it would cut off on me. I have swithced to cooler motor 3026-1210...much better now. What was temp like when you were flying? Also do you have the specs of your motor? I suspect its running too hot like mine was. I also notice that your max current was 104amp, that might be part of your problem!

take a look at this link from castle, it helped me determine what my problem was! http://www.ecalc.ch/helicalc_e.htm?castle

Looks to me that you are governing way to low of a head speed thus it may cause
heat because the motor is not running a peak efficiency.

That's what I was thinking as well, which I sort of mentioned in another thread.

I believe in keeping the heat down on any ESC and or motor as much as possible is the key to uninterupted performance. This is the reason GAUI doesn't want the ESC under the canopy anywhere.Mine is under the canopy on both Hurri's however the canopy is completely screened where the windshield is or ducted to espose the ESC to air. First thing I do is remove the shrink wrap on the ESC...I don't know why in the world they do that. I'm no expert but I do know from that keeping things cool reduces the current which reduces the heat which reduces thermal cutoff. You can run anything over what it's rated for if you keep the heat down. I do it with large transformers, we use fan kits to keep them cool and they run forever. Same applies to electronics or electrics of any kind. Maybe not your issue but get that part out of the equation.
