So a larger prop is not needed, it's enough with a V2 or KBDD rotor?
The V2 rotor is the better option.

Has anyone used the HP03T 9000KV with a 6mm mount and how does it perform with mild / wild set up?

Where is the best place to connect the esc signal wire for the bl tail esc???

Is there a spot that has a good 0 to 100% linear signal? Is that necessary?

I feel similar! was about to pull the trigger on a mild kit, but after having yet another tail motor go on me....

I wonder if there would be such a thing as an multi ESC unit that could handle both main motor and tail ? I am waiting to see how this develops.

Default A new BL tail to try out........

Something that combined the two ESCs into a single unit would make installations much easier/cleaner.

Mate then I'd consider a BL tail.

There are some dual PnP solutions for the mCPx. But it's better to direct solder, and you may then as well have two separate ESCs. Easier to place.

Would you be able to tell me what gauge of wire is being used and how many turns are on each tooth?

I may attempt a rewind if I can find the wire.

Nice looking motor. How does it compare to the other 12000kv motor we have been using on the MCPX? Mine holds great on it. This looks much smaller and lighter though.

Hobby King have a 12000kv motor listed for micro heli tail motor - this may be worth experimenting with.

Hi,

I'm flying that HK12000kv on my wild set up at the moment and quite like it, holds the tail excellent for my type of flying (mild 3D). Although when Dylan has the HP02T back in stock I will buy it because it weighs less.

Is that the 8000kv HP02T? alot of feedback suggests that this is not the way to go - I would be interested in any comments or suggestions as I am looking at a tail brushless option as well? I am indoor mild set up only - not after wild for outdoor use.

I believe he is talking about the HK 12000kv Micro Heli Tail Motor.

At 14mm OD and 3.2g it is actually bigger than the HP02T at 13mm OD and 2g.

I am told with the right prop the 8000kv will work. That is where I am headed.

Dylan is working on a 12000kv HP02T.

I think it is the 8000kv motor but am not a 100% sure, I also read the same as you about the lower kv is not the way to go. What I'm sure of is that the HK12000kv is working pretty good for the wild but might be to heavy for the mild.

Djeez......sorry Craig! Just read in your very first post that it is the HP02T 12000kv which weighs 2.36gram. Sorry for reading with my eyes closed

Any further updates on the BL tail project yet? I rather fancy building my Wild kit with a Bl tail, but I'll build it with a brushed tail if the BL tail motor is still a while away from availability.

I got impatient and ordered a hp02t 8000kv from Oversky and I ordered a 3.2g 12000kv motor from hobbyking.

I'm going to experiment with the hp02t and see if I can successfully rewind it to 12000kv before the public offering. (All my birds are grounded at the moment so....)

Thanks for this! I asked it a few days ago but never got a response. I have a spool of 30awg sitting on my work bench too!
