Gryphon "Vega" on the blink :(

Hi. I have a 5010 Gryphon BEC (Vega) that I don't trust anymore.
It has 2 issues: First the Low voltage warning does not work. It always displays both red and blue light whether the 2S-pack is fully charged or almost empty. Setting the threshold on the BEC has no effect.
Second issue is that there is a burnmark on the cirquitboard some mm from the aux-connectors. Looks like som surfacemounted component is fried.
I have only run it with a 2S- LiPo and standard Nitro heli setup. Batterytimes are good so it's no extreme powerusage either. Estimate 40 minutes flighttime per charge.

Q: How good is Gryphon's support? Can I send it direct to Gryphon so they can take a look at it? Could be an opportunity to gain a lot of goodwill creds...

Btw; I have already ordered a new same BEC as replacement.

They have good support, don't worry.
I'm sure they can advise you what to do.

That happens when you plug the switch in the wrong way round...done it too mine but it has been fine for over a year and many many flights....

Hi. Just an update on my issues with the Vega BEC.
After an email to Gryphon describing the situation they asked me to send the unit in to have a look at it.
Yesterday they emailed me back to explain that they had repaired the unit free of charge and were returning it to me.
This on a unit out of warranty!

This level of customer support is very rare today and well worth telling people about.
Gryphon is certanly standing up for their brand.
