Default SD card: which is good enough for Kosmik?

The manual says, "use only high-quality SD cards with sufficient speed", but doesn't say what "sufficient" is. The FAQ doesn't say anything about that, either. The card that came in the box with the Kosmik doesn't work.

So, what's the "sufficient speed"? Or, rather, what are the SD cards that are known to work with the Kosmik?

Are there cards that are known *not* to work? Reason I'm asking is, had a problem with my GoPro which would absolutely refuse to write more than 10-15 seconds of video with ProTune on - turned out, some disks are more equal than others, as in, have higher sustained write speed, despite being compliant to the same class specifications. The failed card, btw, was also SanDisk - just like the one included with the Kosmik.

And, while we're on the topic, what's the highest capacity SD card that's known to work with the Kosmik? Max size FAT32 can support is 32GB, has to be exFAT after that, does Kontronik firmware support it?

You don't need that much storage, you can put more logs than you ever need to save on a 4GB card. My flight logs are usually right about 3MB each. I'm sure anything class 4 or better is fine.

Well, apparently, not always.

What are the cards that you're using (manufacturer and model)?

I'm using the ones that came with my Kosmiks. (Sandisk) I would suspect the v4.5 firmware as others have suggested.

why would it need such fast cards?
the log recorder writes 2mb in 4 minutes...(approx. on mine)
which other application would write so little? Any camera will generate much more data...
