RTF Not!!!
I am so glad that before I flew my 450c that I listened to the advice that all of you gave me.
First found screws that were loose, even the motor came loose while spinning the blades, now every screw that needs it has Loctite. Second when putting in the new receiver I had to re-adjust the arms and servos (they were out before I put it in) which taught me quite a bit about getting the mechanics right. Third balance the blades and set the blade pitch to better suit a beginner. Fourth learned a lot by watching the set up videos on this site, I learned more than I imagined!!! My advice to anyone buying a new heli to go thru it and make sure that when the "say" it is RTF that it REALLY IS!!!! Just a rookies 2 cents worth!!!

That is why you are better off buying a kit and putting it together yourself. You will end up with a better bird and will learn how it works by building it yourself. Good luck with the new bird!!!

Yes - good luck with your new bird. And thanks for summarizing your findings - others will find this helpful again.

halleluja - praise the Lord! Finally we have a professional amongst us who knows it all !
Thanks for enchanting us with your wisdom (pardon my sarcasm!) PS: While this is not a new thing with RTF, it is a new thing to new pilots and still (to my very humble opinion) is worth mentioning in order to give pilots a heads up and avoid crashes and frustration. - and if anyone is bored to death by us newbies mentioning such a "common knowledge" item he or she has the freedom to ignore our threads.
