500 ESP Better quality frame screws?
Hey Guys,
From where do you get better quality screws for the ESP frame? I thought the tips of my 1.5mm hex drivers rounded off but it's just the screws stripping quite easily.

RCScrewz(?) makes a nice set of replacement fasteners. I haven't used them myself, since I have so many extra screws and bolts laying around.
Another option is to figure out what sizes you use most, and then just order bags of those sizes.

I found it was the M2.6 self-tappers that round-out most easily, but I haven't been able to find a UK source for them by themselves, or in any 3rd-party screws and bolts bundle.

Will order the RCScrewz kit.
Here is the link http://www.amain.com/RC-Screwz-Align...rew-Kit/p88072 Amain offers decent International shipping fees.

Just realised, the screw kit I bought was a RCScrewz one, and it didn't contain any replacements for the M2.6 self-tappers -- just bolts. I got the Align set for the self-tappers.

I recently assembled a T-Rex 500 DFC Pro and had also screws stripping just while tightening them. Quality of these screws is in fact not very good. On other helis I also have problems with stripping 1,5 mm hex screws, but I found a solution when it happens : I take a 1/16 inch hex wrench, this is about 1,6 mm. Most of the time, this makes it possible to tighten or loosen the stripped screws ! Roland
