No matter what you decide to do with the equipment, front or back, the truth of the matter is that, wiring takes time, planning and attention to detail. I find my self revising my original plans of how to route the wiring on a Heli, many times . We are lucky to work with Align Helis, they always have plenty of room to move around and route wiring without being too visible, try doing that with an Avant or a 7HV

IMO, a good build should always have that little extra attention on how the wiring is done, it shows that you spend some time with the Heli during the build.

Hey Ualdrivr, thanks again for posting your build...

Just got another question on the AR7200bx, did you consider running a 2s lipo direct? I guess the HV servos, sat, and AR will all accept the extra voltage. just wondering if the LiFe has any advantages...

My kit arrived the other day and im just planning the build......

I'm not using a LiFe battery, I've always used 2S LiPo unregulated, strait into the AR 7200BX. that's the beauty of the HV setup. The Beast X and subsequently the AR 7200BX are rated from 3.5V to 8.5V, so no problems there.

Have fun, it's a great build and a very nice machine.

Hope this helps.
Do you think it wold be beneficial to add a 3rd power lead in the Bind Data port or can you even use that for power?

I don't think it's needed Bryan, the two leads are more than enough for the BeastX, I haven't seen any adverse power effects with them. I'm sure you can use the bind port for power. I have the little fan that I put on the ESC powered from there.
