Relative performance and feature of the Aurora and T700
Bob:
You said to check back in six months with regard to a comparison of the Aurora and T700. It is about that. How would you compare the personalities, performance and reliability of the two. Thanks Jack |

Bob,
When you did the left rudder thing for the gyro, would this make the heli pirouette like mad if the connection is lost to the Rx? i.e failsafe is full left rudder?? Jim |

I think he means binding the DX7/9303 with full left stick when using the Spartan so that it doesn't initialise before the radio. I guess the answer is yes it would but if you have radio failure that's probably he least of your worries !

If that is the question about the Spartan, the NEW code int he SPartan no longer requires you to do that. Now they want you to bind with 0 gain.

That was my understanding Bob - what I can't figure is why they still advise binding the rudder stick off centre in their latest manual

Well with my Spartan I just did the 0 gain bind and I have not been having a init problem if the RX takes too long to link with the TX. I have no longer bound with left rudder and it seems to work.

Not uncommon to have a few high spots - get some 1000 wet and dry just to polish it off for a super smooth finish and don't forget the TriFlow

Hey Bob did you ever replace or have any problems with the stock links? I heard some people were having them break on them.
Thanks. |

Thats a LONG story! I had one of the FIRST pre-production kits and believe it or not... still on the same links and balls BUT they are ready to be replaced now..... But I know people that fly harder have been through several sets now INCLUDING replacing worn balls as well. I also know depending on WHEN you got your kit will depend on wear....
Thats all I know... Believe it or not MOST people in my area have gone to a Quick UK or JR ball and link set. Bob
