You can always hover your 450 in the living room!(I don't know where I got that idea?)

+1 For your daughter aye? A small heli is fun to whip around the house I use the Lama V3 all blinged and boosted! Forward and backward circuits are a breeze and a lot of fun! Any small Heli you pick Im sure you'll like I also have a 4#3B it's been on the burrner and will sit there until it's ready. But is a damn fun little heli! I've never been at the sticks of one but the MCX does look like a fun one! Every fleet has room for a tiny heli they are tiny and dont take up all the room of your fleet!

I can't seem to force myself to spend another 100 bucks on a little heli, even though I want to right now. I'm saving that money for my scorpion -8 and esc. mmmmm....scorpion -8.

There's nothing wrong with that plan! Though if you want some serious power at a reasonable price there is the HDX 3550 a 320 watt motor for $20http://www.helidirect.com/product_info.php?cPath=44_385&products_id=1460
I run one with a 13t pinion and it smokes! just a thought. The scorpion-8(380 watt) is a better motor hands down but perhaps something while you wait you could get The ESC of your choice and the the HDX 3550 and then save and get the Scorpion-8 later! It's a nice motor and has way more power than the stock motor!(220 watt) I chose this motor cause I'm on a tight budget but it is one of the best for the price!

First of all 4 days of rain is nothing. No one can compete with Swansea for bad weather. We are known for it and we can have months of rain with very few days without. Or we could have months of sun. Our weather is messed up here so we don't listen to estimates because it 90% of the time wrong lol. I am supprised we aren't growing tropical stuff over here lol (Joking) The reason why it's not tropical is because we never get humid weather and we call a sunny day 27C which is not bad but that is maximum. And our wind! Well I don't know how they can say that those wind turbines aren't having enough wind!
As for a small helicopter I say +1. I don't have one but I really want one for practising my orientations indoors. And I bet one would keep me amused all day if I had one At the moment I am after a logictech and a DX7 so I will have to put a small heli on hold. But I'm definatly gunna get one. Grant, how much smaller is he 250 than the 450? Would you say a 250 is too big for a smallish bungalow? -Jonny

Jonny, sorry to sound like the boring old fart, but what exactly do you want a DX7 for. I've never had a DX6i, but I can tell from all the things that people say about it that it is a perfectly good radio and would seem to be little different from a DX7. I am frequently amazed at the price difference between the two of them for what seems to be just an extra channel. I'm happy with my DX7, but I'm guessing I would have been happy if I'd had a DX6i too.
When you get the 7, it will soon fall short of your expectations and you'll want a 9. If you don't need it, why change? When you do need it, you will want more, ask Gerd, lol. Get batteries!

Sutty, you are right. I will want a new TX shortly after I get one. But I wont be able to afford a new TX anyway.
The main reason is because I want a trex 600 in the future (End of summer or there abouts) Which will need an extra channel for the governor. And you might think "Well, why don't he get the DX7 when he gets the 600" Well that's because I don't want to buy it all at once because it will seem like more I really wouldn't mind going scale with a 450 one day aswell (Maybe with retracts but nothing else) Having the DX7 will allow me to have retracts (Or similar) while also having a HH gyro. If I were to keep the DX6I and wanted to go scale I would have to sacrifice a HH gyro for retracts. And lastly, yes, the DX6I is really good and can do ALMOST as much as a DX7. But there are a lot more settings on the DX7 than on the DX6I as you think. Such as 3 axis dual rates and P-mixes. It also has 3 flight modes + throttle hold (norm, idle 1, idle 2) unlike the DX6I which has 2 flight modes + throttle hold. Which will also be useful for me when I get a bigger heli. It also looks more professional which draws my attention too I do have one question though. Can the DX6I do something that the DX7 can't? Oh and it can store 20 models instead of the DX6I's 10 models (I don't know when the time will be when I get over 10 models though lol) EDIT: Gerd, now that you have a new TX (What is it futuba?) Do you have to buy new RX's too? If you can use the spektrum RX's with it then maybe I will wait for another sale thingy and get one! How much did it cost? £120? -Jonny

I agree, I agree BUT. I now have 2 batteries for each heli (Or 4 for the 450) And a Bantam BC6-10 I can charge them all in less than an hour each so I can fly a lot more these days. For the field days (In the summer) I can take the charger with me and charge from the car.
But yea. I still need more batteries but im not AS desperite as I was when I only had one battery for the belt cp and T500 and ONE the stock Esky charger lol. That was shocking. -Jonny

+1 Sutty you can run a govner with the dx6i and unplug the signal wire on the gyro and still have a permenant HH mode like I do on the stock Tx! I think you would be wasting your money! There are much better things to get on "Jonny's List" than the DX7 IMHO! ie gyro, lipos, servos, scorpion-8, Night gear!

Although as said I didn't REALLY need it over the DX7, the throttle cut switch can be fudged on the DX7 and I don't need the 2 extra channels really. However, it feels and looks so much better than the DX7, it is a really nice transmitter and I convinced myself I HAD TO HAVE IT!!!! Also, having worked so much in Kuwait recently, money is not too much of an issue at the moment so it was a little treat for all my time away (along with the 600n!! ) You have a limited budget so worry about getting what IS needed then go for the nice to haves later. Although if you are lucky you could sell your DX6i and pick up a DX7 for not a lot more if you find a good bargain 2nd hand, one DX7 sold on ebay for £83 recently!
