Default What's the USB connector on the castle link?
Hi,
Whats the USB connector type on the castle link?

I have tried a mini USB connector, which I think is a male B type, could be wrong there....

It doesn't seem to fit?


What do I need here please?

Yeah it's just a mini usb not a micro. Same cable I use for my mini vbar, gpro etc. The fitment is a little tight.

I am trying to use the cable for my MSH Brain, it doesn't seem to fit. I haven't really pushed it hard so far not wanting to break anything...

Yeah you should be good it's possible the little brass connector got squished a little. Mine was shipped in a regular envelope with no protection so I'm just it can get a little deformed.

hummm I dunno...It don't seem right.

Any chance you could do a nice close-up photo of the connector you stick in your castle link?

Show the end view/pluggy-in bit if you can.

Yeah the brain cable will not work. You need a mini usb cable. This cable is common for 3.5" external hard drives and external card readers.

Next question:
What sort of connector do I need to plug in the ESC's aux rpm output (the white wire) into the Brain's Governor port?

Next question :-)
What is a good wire/extension cable type thing to enable me to sort of "T-Off" the throttle cable and plug in the castle link without having to unplug the throttle cable when I adjust the ESC?

Is that something that's a good idea?

Yeah a Y lead will work. I'm surprised a gov sat type cable will work learn something new everyday. You may have problem with your fbl unit and rx drawing to much power to powerup the castle link.

I don't think so. I think the esc HAS to be disconnected from the Brain for programming and log access, and that is what the CC quick connect does.
