Default High Pitch Sound

Hi,

I have a high pitch sound, I thought it was coming from the stock motor (Gaui 910kv) and I changed the bearings and the sound is still there.

My suspect is either the swash bearing or the top bearing block.

Any ideas? Or is it just how the X5 sound.

Could you post a vid?

Mine doesn't make such a sound... Could also be a bearing in your tail system...

Check your bearings. Especially the main shaft bearings, they tend to go quickly.
The swash bearing is pretty weak, so that is a good one to check too.

Thanks for the replies.

All look good from my view of the bearings.

I will just have to order them. It's just I hate ordering one or two parts. I will wait a few days and see what else do I need.

Hey cRash_landing

Take a look at http://www.avidrc.com for bearings. They are good quality and a great price. I have been using these for all my replacement bearings.

It probably wouldn't cost much to pre-order the drive train bearings. This way you can replace them as you take it apart.

yea, i'm getting this sound too (not real loud), and a little bit of vibration, but only when I use the longer 4000 mah batteries. If I use a glacier 4500, which is shorter, I have no vibes. I gues the canopy contact with the bigger battery is freaking the ikon out.

I bought mine used, but the drivetrain is smooth as butter. Maybe it's a motor bearing.

The noise was reduced.

I changed the bearing on the motor and right now it sounded normal. I still needed to change the bearings in the upper block servo mount and swash as soon I get them.

Will update
