14MZ from Mode 1 to Mode 2?
Hello all:
Is changing the radio from mode 1 to mode 2 a chore to do? Wonder if we can do it ourselves?

Hi,
I suppose so but it involves some work like removing throttle stops on that throttlestick and You must recalibrate the sticks and also change from mode 1 to mode 2 - both things done with T14mzUtility.exe (and downgrade to Encoder version 1.39 with Editor version 1.3.1 before You can use T14mzUtility.exe - then efter change upgrade again to for example latest Encoder version 1.44 with Editor version 1.6.0.). You need to hang a stick spring on the now after change elevator-aileron stick. I would personally probably just send it in to a Futaba Service Center in Your country to have it done properly. I have a 14MZ mode 2 (throttle stick to left) myself. I have calibrated the sticks after I removed the throttle stops (that I did not like restricting the end travels of the throttle) so I have done some of the steps involved but not mode 1 to mode 2 change. /Bo Last edited by bossee; 08-31-2010 at 12:51 AM.. |
