erk, another thing I did was to add an extra frame spacer just foreward of the upper bearing block.....if nothing more than to fill 2 frame holes...

Also, added another frame spacer below the rudder servo in the aft end of the frame.

I could "rock" the rudder servo without the extra spacer...

Also, ordered extra canopy "edge-guard", and applied it to the canopy's
"swash/main shaft" cutout, using CA(applied from the inside of the canopy).

This prevents chipping of the paint in that area...when installing/removing the canopy
after a battery change....or even preventing canopy cracking in this area.

FWIW

Great pictures. Looks good. I'd be interested to see how your going to run you wiring when you get to that part of the build.

I like it. Nice build. I use the same sleaving on my builds too. I can't wait to start the build, very soon. At this point I only need an ikon, reactor hvx and rx pack before I start on it. I'll have to take some pictures of the build as well. There haven't been many pictures of the 800 builds.

Thanks

Nice job....

Noticed your Futaba RX on the port frame side.

Is it possible to mount the RX in the bottom rear "deck"....and hang the antenna "whiskers" out the frame side/sides?

Am used to JR DSMX satellite RXs on the VBAR....on both frame sides....

Can you guys tell me how much actual tail servo arm movement I can expect with these x8 arms? From 90 to forward and backwards, 1/4", 1/2" either way from 90?

I'm trying to figure out (1) if I really need to grind down the tip of the servo arm to keep it from hitting the gear box when full forward movement.
And (2) if it doesn't move a lot from center I may be able to sneak a few rx wires past it.

I'm still trying to figure out the picture thing from this phone too.

No grinding, use inner hole.

Some cables can be fit past, but it's tight.
