Default Battery leads

Because I guess I just don't like to leave well enough alone, I'm thinking of removing the stock leads from the board and going straight to the esc with the left over wire that came with my mild kit. Anything to be gained or is it even worth the trouble?

I just used my new Weller wes51 station to convert my friend's mcpx to brushless, maybe I'm just looking for reasons to fire it up again.
