Looking at buying one when the tax refund comes in but definitely the HS-5065MG, I have the programmer and it's just a great little servo!! HS-5083 for the tail and going FBL. (Can't you tell I'm a Hitec fan?!) hehe

...hmmm - i burned the 5084 twice on a 450er-heli, but i dont know exactly why.... perhaps the gyro (kds800), perhaps the esc (robberoxxy 950-6)...

later on i used a n590, kds, now i am waiting for mks ds 8910... i hope it will work with the kds900 i am using now...

I hope it supports 760 microsecond pulse width servos, otherwise it will not work with the 8910.

Running Spektrum H3000 on cyclic. I like them so far. Very quiet and smooth. First time with these servos. Appear to be the same Savox servos as the Align 410M.

Hello!!!!

Just ordered a mini Protos and now I wonder where to buy cheap servos for this nugget..
I'm considering Savox servos, seems to be good performance for a fair coin.

Will be exciting to build this heli and it does not seem so common here in Sweden.

Regards
Roger

It's a fun build. My only piece of advice is to tighten the screws until snug, don't try to "over" tighten. Those little heads on the M2 screws tend to strip easily.
Savox servos seem to get good reviews. I've not owned them so I can't comment. I do have Align servos in my 550 and I'm told they're re-branded savox servos. They perform really really well. In my mini Protos I'm running HS-5065 on the cyclic and Futaba BLS257 on the tail. Very happy with this setup.

I've got savox servos on my 250, they work well.

I've got Savöx SH-0257MG for cyclic servos and SH-0253 for tail - plastic gears mesh better and seem to develop less slop due to the jittery nature of tail servo movement. They're superb performers for the price

MKS ds95's on cyclic and MKS ds95i on the tail. Very expensive at around $75.00 ea cyclic servo, and around $95.00 for the tail servo. The sheer speed and performance of these servos sets the bar imo

Just beware that those DS95's will force you to convert your other micro servo helis to them...probably more addictive than Crack

Are the corona servos still treating you well?

I flew it for about 30 flights with them, then removed them in favor of a set of JR DS285MG. I sold them to a friend, and he's still using them in a clone 450. So, I had decent luck with them. They did have a fair bit of gear slop though...

30 flights isn't too bad for the price but of course not ideal. How many corona servos does a ds285mg cost?

.. sorry guys, but: what are you talking about???? 30 flights isn´t too bad for a servo...????

i am counting on replacing my hitec hs65hb after 25-30 hours clear flighttime (about 300-400 flights, beginnning 3d !!!!!) and usually i am angry, if i am forced to replace one of them after 10 hours (100-150 flights ...) ... the same lifecycle i expect from my new savox sh0254, but i am a little bit confused about the other peoples perception on servo-durability, indeed ... maybe, i was gambling so far...?
