Sure thing my friend! My pleasure...

I'm out of town until Monday, so come Monday I will post up the picture with measurements.

I think either a 450 or 500 skid tube would do... No need to get fancy here.

Default Getting There!

Here go the results of my latest effort! It feels like I am getting closer to moving the project to the next level of milling out a plug in foam. I will post another pic that shows the new cano outline against the original for size reference.

That is looking awesome! I've been doing 3D solid modeling for a long time but I suck at surface modeling. That is some pretty cool stuff you're doing.

Did you forget about the motor? Looks like there will be motor/ canopy interference.

Yes I did but that is taken care of in about three minute in the software! I have not ordered my Warp yet so have yet to see one in the physical even. Stay tuned, update pending!!

Sweet! Can’t wait to get my hands on one...

I will get those strut dimensions for you later, I got in last night and had too much other crap to take care of. Jet lagged and sore from a whole week of shredding powder and dropping gnarly cliffs will take it out of the best of us.

This newest design looks great! Much faster than my hand fabbing foam blanks for sure. The only thing I don't like about the TDR or Goblin canopies are the canopy fracturing and rubbing to get the dang things off. But I love the look.

The glass cloth Jan uses in his canopies is finer yeilding a more flexible caopy that does not fracture, that is key in using for these shapes. I will be duplicating that for this one. I do not have one but I suspect fusuno et al use more standard cloth yeilding a stiffer canopy that cracks after a while. 330 logged flights and at least another 100 removals of my canopy and no fracturing!!

Greets all and apologize for my absence! My work load and the load on the CNC machines at work has been unbelievable the last few weeks! I have prepared the files for milling and hope to get a shot this week (will post pics of the process). Following that is a fair amount of work but of the sort I have more personal control over so ought to be quicker. I still lack dimensions for the skids and you guys wishes, these I can cut in no time, (just need to order CF plate).
Plan on using white gel coat when I mold the canos but have used yellow during CAD for ease of visibility. Here are the pics of the shape I settled on.

Looks great, if you start selling them i will grab a couple for sure. Your right about the material that Jan uses for the TDR it is so light and flexible that you never seem to have any issues cracking.

I think my warp would look great sitting next to my tdr with your canopy, i have a tdr canopy for my MCPXBL as well, love it.

Here ya go donskills

The thickness of the CF is 1.5 mm

The thickness of the slots is 2.5 mm
The depth of the slots is 4 mm

...and I suppose the length doesn't really matter, but I measured anyway.

I personally don't think it should be any higher than it is.
And that was me suggesting CF struts with aluminum or delrin pipes (TDR stile).

More rake? Yes. I think that is a better solution for taking off and landing in grass.

For speed flying, I would say maybe even lower profile struts?
