14sg + r3008sb Rx

Could anyone tell me if I'll be alright with this. I've got an r3008sb Rx already built in to my copter. I'm gonna be buying a 14 sg here soon. Is the r3008sb compatable with the 14sg. They are both T-FSSH or whatever the acronyn is.

Or do I absolutely have to have the $150 Rx that comes with the Tx?

as far as i still know, Tfhss is not compatible with the 14sg. Sfhss is. i use the 2008 receivers on my smaller and mid range stuff and use FASST on my higher end stuff.

That's the incorrect receiver and will NOT work with the 14sg. The 14sg needs a 7000 series receiver (R7003SB or R7008SB). Both are 14-channel receivers with telemetry.

It only has to be a 7000 series receiver if you want to use telemetry which only works with FASSTest receivers.
You can use any S-FHSS or FASST receivers with the 14SG.

This is confusing, and I recently had to retract some bad advice I gave on this very topic.

I did not realize that there are now two flavors of FHSS (T-FHSS and FHSS/S-FHSS), which now makes 4 different 2.4GHz protocols from Futaba .. or even 7 if you count all the variations

FHSS
S-FHSS
T-FHSS
FASST 7channel
FASST 10 channel
FASSTest 12 channel
FASSTest 14 channel



Ugh Futaba... why why why!
