Unable to set tail blade end points with 4.0
I loaded up 4.0 and checked all my old flight settings and they were present. The only change I had to do was reset my throttle end points.
After a few good flights I decided to check the logs. In the play back video I noticed that the rudder stick would deflect full travel when rudder direction was changed with the stick, no matter how slight the yaw. The playback logs showed the rudder stick being deflected full stroke for every yaw command I made but from the actual flights that was not happening. The ship had a normal yaw reaction to the stick. In the playback video I get "Warning Mechanical Failure/Servo failure" in some cases every second in the playback. I decided to reset my tail blade end points just as a check and during that process I get the message in the screen shot. I can change the direction of the servo as requested in the message box and the program will accept it and allow me to set the end points but now the tail is backwards in its pitch change. I promise I am looking at the tail blade pitch change correctly and the ship had just been flying with the original setup. For troubleshooting I was going to install the previous FW version as it did not have this anomaly. I am dead in the water now as I can't fly with the tail setup the FW want me to have. Any ideas? Nothing but the FW version was changed on the ship.

=] you ignore the SW reverse instruction, it's wrong! it thinks left is right and vice versa, manually put in the travels you want to use....

I'll give that a go Georgi! Thanks! I will fly again afterword to see if the stick error in the video is still there and also the warning of servo or mechanical failure. That's what really turned my head.

Yup, I had the same problem!!!
Used the wizard to get the center point and get zero pitch on the tail blades. Exited the wizard. Entered the center point manually and then just played with the numbers until I got near the ends. Oddly 100, 100 worked perfectly...

Thanks Georgi, that fixed my tail blade end point issue.
Entering the end points manually is easier anyway I believe. Ship fly's great but this still worries me. On the log I still see the full deflection of the rudder stick even though in reality it's not happening. See the photo. At the same time I get a 'servo or mechanical failure warning" on the video playback screen. The ship fly's great but these errors worry me in that they could be real. I don't want to disregard a "servo failure warning" if it is real.

=]. If it considers your tail is reversed it will flag up a mechanical warning issue, trust me!!

It was a good day for me with version 4. Lots of good flying and I was able to do some ground ops by running my G770 up and down the road...got mud on my tires. ....and the best part....no throttle bumps all day! I would have at least 4 per flight before with the old software. Hope we are not wearing you out Georgi, but thanks for being available and so very helpful.

I'm having the same problem, I'll try what's suggested here. Had me scratching my head for sure.

I suggested to do a stick re-scaling on other threads. Still haven't seen anyone tried it and saying it solved the prob.
It happend to me once in the past after copying a setup from heli to heli and re scaling solved it. Same goes for the opposite collective problem.

I wonder if the the new "mystery" version 4.01 (that is now listed on the Skookum site) fixes the rudder setup issue.

no tail setup is still jacked in 4.01, you have exit the wizard and adjust travels manually.

Unable to set tail blade end points with 4.0
Just almost ripped my head off last night because of this... Only way is givin the numbers for travel adjustments. We'll try it at ircha hope all goes good.
And we hear from skookum soon about the reason this is happening. Btw anybody from here at IRCHA?
