Best Battery for Blade 450 3D

For a 450, you'll want a 25c battery or better, but in this size, the batteries are cheap, so getting the absolute best may not be worth the money. Lots of folks (including myself) run Turnigy and Zippy batteries (from Hobbyking) and they work just fine. Gens Ace batteries have a great reputation, but cost more.

Hey guys, I was looking for the best battery for the B450 in overall quality. I saw the gens ace 2200mah, 11.1v, 20/25/30/35c are a popular choice, but they are never in stock. A friend of mind told me he bought a Venom 2100mah 11.1v 20c and he had no problems at all with it, and when I looked online, I couldnt find much reviews about it. Anyone here know if thats a good brand, and also if there is another brand thats out there which can perform just as good or better?

I would seriously give these an honest look. They are re-branded Gens Ace batteries and from what I have seen of them, they are very nice. A fellow flyer at my field is using the 6S 3000's in his Trex 600 and they are awesome. They preform nicely and come down after hard 3D flights just barely warm. You can't beat the price either.

Venom customer support sucks.. play english .. they are the last battery i would ever buy and i would sell my helis before i buy there batterys...

I use Thunderpower 65C 3s 2250mah. They're expensive, but I talked to Thunderpower techs at IRCHA in person and they claim that charging at the 12c max rate doesn't affect the life of the pack. I charge them at 10 amps, (around 5c) and they are done charging in less than 10 minutes. Thunderpower claims that they have top notch internals in these packs resulting in longer lifespan and better performance overall. As for flight time, a 6 minute mild flight leaves around 20% left in the pack.

I run a number of different batteries - from stock eflight, sky lipo, gens ace, to haiyin.

For my money and usability, I like the Haiyins the best. The combination of performance (at least equal to my gens ace), wire length/positioning, and price, these can't be beat. Additionally, they have a support presence on rcgroups and respond on the forum regularly.

I plan to buy a couple of their 6s batts soon.

About 7 minutes, could probably do another 30sec but I don't push it. Remember this is only with a dozen or so flights. I have been happy with my other nano's so I expect these to hold up well.

I'll give a thumbs up for the Thunder Power 65c 2250mah I have 4 and have never had a problem... if you do, customer support is awesome

I have a thunder power 2250, you will need to swap balance plug, or use an adaptor since the plug is different. I think the stock battery has more power longer than the TP, but they both come down at 11.2 after 6 minutes.

I run 2000 20c venom battery's they only cost $20. I have 8 of them I've been running since I got the Heli with no issues at all. Also im running every cnc upgrade available. And I charge them at 4 amps and discharge them to 3.6v after flight. I'm well over 100 cycles on each.

I use 2650's with 7 minute flight time and I stay under 80% rule. I am using sky lipo and love them - they are a bit bigger though, have to mod the canopy a bit.

I chose based on weight - I simply got the highest capacity battery I could while keeping under a calculated weight figure. I got the calculated figure on helifreak from this crazy guy that calculated all this and figured out the the battery should be x time the weight of the heli. If anyone knows what I am talking about please post that thread as I would like to look at it again.

EDIT: back when I had the EXI 325mm fiberglass blades, I could fly at least 9 min and stay below 80%, that 10mm difference is huge!
