Default fury 55 future??

I am very interested in this model but don't want the same thing to happen twice. I got a compass 3d+ last year and it was discontinued couples of month later so with nitro that are less popular, what's the future of the fury55?

I doubt that it will be discontinued anytime soon. MA is busy rolling out the 700EX, after that they'll be busy carrying the drivetrain changes over to the Nitro and Gas variants. The Fury 55 also shares alot of parts with the Furion 6 including boom, tail assembly and head.

Default nitro

Hope so. I am leaving electric and come back to nitro. Tired of messing with lipos. I have just build a Wiplash gasser and the fury 55 will be my next build.

When you do, grab the CF tail rod kit. The standard wire rod is ok but mine rattles around with the nitro vibes and it picks up a bit of friction from the guides. I'll be changing it out shortly.

I talked to the MA guys at IRCHA. They were really pushing the Whiplash line but said they will continue to manufacture sell and support the Fury 55 and Furion 6. They also said in addition to working on the slant gear conversion for the rest of the whiplash line they are working on a cnc tail upgrade for the Fury and Furion to replace the plastic. Unfortunately no slant gears though.

Metal tail grips? That'd be awesome.

It was a short conversation but what I got out of it was all the plastic on the tail would have metal upgrades.
