I for one hope all will be OK Jack, and indeed that you will be able to make it. Have you checked out the price of shipping a container to the UK yet????

They may give him a good deal as he'll need to buy two, I don't think they're quiet big enough.

RAF had better have that charger system working. Nobody will be able to use it with all of Jack batterys.

Hope all went well at the docs Jack

As for me, I would not be able to do the bank holiday at the end of May as that is half term week and will be away with the family for the week

If it is prior to that then shouldn't be a problem.

Had a sneaky suspicion that would be the case Gerd, I think that's probably why it was so this year!? Would be nice to do it for 3 days of the bank holidays if the club didn't have other things on (I guess we still gotta ask Grant once we have a date too!), but still we gotta throw some idea's around to make sure as many people can make it.

Anyhows, not wanting to do it on the 13th May, hows about meet up from Friday 20th May?

I'm gonna promise here and now that I'm gonna have some new bling by then Got the T-Rex tuned but not flown it for a couple of weeks now. Lots of work still on at the moment.

I've waiting to see how my first winter self-employed in the building trade goes!! Hope it doesn't go too quiet, with all the tinkering this new government is doing to the economy. Really worried I'll have to accumulate some debt to see me through, and then I'll be behind going into next year!!

Wonder were Gaz is, will have to give him a call! I think he had kids holidays the bank holiday weekend this year too.

Too true Alex, they are great fun, and it is [perversely] encouraging watching all you ace flyers.
Can't wait.....

Count me in for "Freaks in a field 2011"!!

Yeah, bit a bit less enthusiasm this time round. I'm sure the regulars like Skip, Sutty and Gerd (where is he?) would be up for it?

Alex? Somehow don't think he will but would be good to see him.

Gaz? Sure you're up for anything!!

Denis of course will want to show off the 600?!

Daust? He'll want to get the Fury out and I'd love to see that!

Grant? Busy lad but he typically wouldn't miss it.

Anyone else?

I'm pretty flexible on any dates.

I'm a little concerned about the lack of posts too. It's not as busy round here with the usual FFFD attendee's. That said, most people know we are trying to organise another one, so I'll keep bumping this for a few weeks and see if we can get some momentum going. Would be nice if something happened, whether it's our own event or we hi-jack someone else's fly-in

Also, I think Jonny has a shiny new 600 he may want to show off too?? Are you interested Jonny?

It's usually Grant that organises it with the club, and as you say he's a busy man so I don't like to myther him without good reason. I need to talk to him anyway about kasama spares, so I make that 2 good reasons to call now. Hopefully, he may look in today and post something, but I will call him later in the week anyway if no joy here.

As far as date's are concerned, the furthest we got trying to pin a date down was the 3rd weekend in May again (same as last year, so hopefully same weather :glasses2. I recall that weekend is when most are available because of the school holidays/bank holiday the week after. So, that would make it Friday 20th May - Sunday 22nd May 2011.

Should be good to go.

Just hope it isn't a cold end of May. Last year was good, but you never know. God I'm such a softy.

Cheers

Well I thought I'd be driving by 2011 if this is in the summer then maybe I will be so I won't have to nag the parents. I probably will be coming this year as I have promised.

I don't want to fly though, you guys don't know how much of a nervous wreck I am, I get anxious and frustrated even if my dad or brother watches me fly.

The main reason for me is to meet up with you all, have a chat, look at all your flying machines and watch some of the better flyers do some tricks.

Jonny

Well I'd love to come, but I don't want to hear any of that 'I won't be flying' crap!

I don't care if you're visibly shaking, I want to see you in the air with a real heli and that means you as well Sutty.

And Denis assures me he is going to be putting out some 3D moves this year, he's got no excuses after strutting his stuff on Phoenix the other night.

Come on guys, no pain, no gain and all that!
