I have ZYX-s and DSM2 satellite and DX6i. I couldnt get it to bind correctly using the youtube procedure. The only way it seems to work is to bind the satellite with a full receiver, then plug it into the zyx. Also I found on internet that you should use DSMx-2 type in the software dropdown box. I have two of these helis (one spektrum and one orange) and dont seem to have binding problems (now). The version of firmware doesnt affect binding for me.

What version zyx firmware are you using?

Right now I am at 4.00 on both ZYX-S. This is because 4.01 and 4.02 did not work with some of my servos. I have also previously loaded 3.5 to get the servos to work, but found 4.00 later.

Dx6i and sat will only work with version 3.5
There's a couple of vids out there showing how to bind it. You have to be exact on the process or it won't work. I'll try to find the vids.

Those vids did not work for me, even at 3.5. I finally got a normal sat-enabled receiver and binded with that then plugged the sat into the zyx. I do not bind with the zyx and it is at version 4.00 firmware. I may be lucky, but the heli flies just fine.

Thanks. I needed the "S" firmware and was able to download it through my tablet. For some odd reason, none of my desktop computers allow me to download. They send me to a dead link. Regardless, its all good. I got my satellite connected and then returned back to the most recent firmware and everything is working.

old thread but how do you update your fbl program on the pc? i need to upgrade it so i can program my ZYX-S2 controller. right now my program on my pc is 1.16v

Apparently the s2 does not have piro compensation. I have never tried FFF with piro, so I have not verified that it does not compensate, but I suspect it does not.

well i tried some piros today and it was not even at all. it was like a chicken wobble all over why wouldn't they have it on the s2.. no sinse to me

Hi Guys

Old thread, this one, but I'm hoping someone is still around who can help me out. On my Tarot software I have the option of using Futaba sbus, but I want to use sbus from a JR transmitter through a FrSky receiver.
Been researching this for a while.
No-one seems to know for sure, but some have suggested I use an 'inverter' cable.
Anyone out there tried this, or can point me in the right direction?

Why is firmware 3.5 for zyx-s not exist anywhere..

And why is there such horrible issues with sats.... Vbar has some minir issues but atleast u can bind and find a working mode.

Zyx no. Noithing wiurks nit veven binding with vbar and moving to zyx.

I actually mangaed to find the firmware

but still no go, zyx-s just wont enter bind mode. but i do get a yellow flashing light now.

seems that the zyx just doesnt see the sat cable, or maybe the zyx adapter cable is faulty? ive metered it and there is definatly power getting to the sat.

the sat binds just fine with a BAR
