Well that was short lived! 6 tanks and just starting to run sweet when.......................!

Threadloc EVERYTHING - a lesson we all know but it just so happened that I forgot to do the tail rotor hub grub screws. There's NOTHING left, RX, Gyro the entire thing is only good for the bin. I may be able to salvage the engine but I really can't be bothered to look if it's had a thump or not at the moment.

So in summary, great flyer but don't bother assembling it at the factory, leave it in little bags so we can put it together and not miss anything (me that is !)

please excuse the plastic canopy as I am still waiting for the correct one from HK.

Moved the rudder servo to the boom and added a mixture servo to the frame, which could have gone into the rudder position in the frame but I did the rudder mod last.

made a custom carbon rudder rod as well.

These things are amazing bang for your buck!

From the picture it looks like your motor is shimmed. If so, how much, and how did you realize it needed it. What servo do have on cyclic. I noticed the smoked bottom. Thanks and nice bird.

hi webb1john

there is indeed a shim between the engine mount and engine!
This was to correct the tight gear mesh that these puppies have. I used a 1mm carbon plate shim to give me a better clearance. Could have used less, say a 0.8mm shim.

I have been flying with the 1mm shims and works very nicely.

Servos BMS-621MG on cyclic
