another ZYX-S question
Hi again,
sorry to pester you guys but i have another query regarding the Tarot gyro, on the servo trim page where you set the arms to 90 degrees using ch1 to 3, under a box named swash, what are the collective, aileron and elevator buttons for? are they for leveling the swash after doing the sub-trin? Thanks, Alan |

Correct. The zyx allows you to trim each servo individually, as well as offer the possibility to trim the swashplate by moving all servos together. I really like that feature.

Thanks again Dr.M,
so does this feature allow me to level the swash at mid stick and at both ends of travel? Aaln |

Not at the ends, only at mid stick. There's no way to level the swash at the ends, but you don't need to either, as the gyro will compensate for unequal travel.

Isn't it true that if the arms are at 90 degrees at mid-stick and the linkage geometries are correct, the swash will be level at high and low travel as well?

Theoretically yes. However we live in an imperfect world where small differences in the swash servos may result in unequal travel. In particular, servo POTs are the components that introduce the most error...

Very true. Great point. I have my first swash leveler tool on order. Always eye balled it to this point but know I need to dial in the helis better. Snow is on the ground so I have plenty of time to play around with the setups.
