Trm VX300se sports edition
Hey guys, wanted to let everyone know over the last 5 months or so I have have people ask me if I could build a 300 series engine that was not all out and more sport oriented and after talking with my guys decided to do just that.
Introducing the new VX300 Sports Edition (not to be confused with the VX300TT Special Edition). So what is this about? From a tuning perspective the new VX300 Sports Edition is the same as the 300 Special Edition just not as angry. Here are the detailed specs:
It uses the original air filter and fan cover and does not need the cylinder clamp. The price is $399.99! But even better it is totally upgradable to the Special Edition version if you need the beast! The motor makes power lower in the rpm then the TT but it is very smooth on the delivery, so you get the same smoothness as before with sporty power and great price. If you guys have any questions don't hesitate to ask. They are in stock at gas-powered-helicopters.com if you want to check them out. Peace, Al Last edited by Toxic Al; 04-16-2015 at 03:21 PM.. |

Something about "Sport Edition" and "Toxic Al" doesnt seem right in the same sentence....lol
But this is a great motor at an even greater price...

At that price there is no reason for anyone to consider a stock engine. You get all the critical upgrades.

This sounds like a really good option if you don't need more power and just want the smoothness (although, I'm sure it's punchier than the PUH 260 I used to have in my Predator and that had a good bit of grunt).
Would the RJX pipe work on it without mods?

Yes, the standard RJX would be a good choice for this engine.

This motor is THE choice for the sport pilot, or the pilot learning new maneuvers that needs power, and flight time. the 300 is so versatile it is unbelievable. the low end power on this thing is amazing. upgrade later to the TT edition and put a pipe on it, and BOOM!!!! you now have a gasser that will rival any .90 size nitro out there.....seriously....

It will be happier at lower RPM's, 12,000 range. An aftermarket air filter and it should pull nice to around 13,500.

It will have to be sent in, the biggest part is more extensive porting to the cylinder. Give Toxic Al a call (407-461-9225), he can go over the details and cost.
