Default Ditch Align Bellcrank for Direct To Swash

Is there anyway to convert an Align 700 frame with the bellcranks to direct to swash?

The elevator seems to be the only section that isn't exactly designed to be direct.

The Naza I have works incredible with direct to swash on a test CHP EDL frame. The bell cranks are traveling too far. I need more resolution in my controls. The controls now over shoot.

I've been given some setting ideas to fix this and will do it but ultimately would like to change over.

I have to assume your inquiring about an older version 700 series.

Can it be done with the stock frames?
If you wish to redesign it, anything is possible but I doubt it would be worth the effort.

A better choice would be to purchase an aftermarket frame set that is deigned with DTS.

I converted my old 700E using new align parts from the DFC pro.

all you need are frames, two bearing blocks, and the swash driver. everything else fits.

there are a few threads on this conversion.

You all named the alternatives that are the best options I had been looking at. I already have a CHP EDL frame as I described. I bought it for doing some normal flying without a huge gimbal on front. Plus I want to try 3d. I put the gimbal on that frame and it was silky butter smooth. It was also very quiet and......wonderful.

My friend is making a custom ap frame based on the CHP EDL but figured there was an easy way to convert it over since it will be a few months before my other frame is done.

There is a hole for the two aileron servos so I figured there was a way for the elevator.

ONE BIG QUESTION - Why recommend different servos? Not a fan of the DS610's or have you had/heard bad things? I'm not doing stick banging. I haven't even gotten to fly it as an EDL NON AP frame yet. I've listened hard when someone says to avoid something. I know they draw a truck load of current. I'm using a Jeti BEC thats rated at 12amps which is fine for my scale soon to be sport flying so far.

Align 610 is fine. No reason to worry.

I want to buy another EDL frame. I already ended up buying one and like it so much I want a second. It's always showing out of stock.
