AR7200BX/BeastX + Protos
Figured I would break this out of my build thread to get some feedback from current AR7200BX/BeastX users
Is anyone running the unit inside on the lower frame opposed to the rear boom block? Any tips or recommended settings for my Dx7 would be very helpful if you have them I am getting close to the maiden of my first FBL heli so tips are greatly appreciated. |

Does the kit come with the FBL lower plate now? If not I would mount on the boom block

I mounted mine UNDER the boom block. The telemetry unit is on top. Makes wiring cleaner.
Receiver is inside the heli. |

Any chance you are using a dx7s and have settings you can share with me? I'm about to setup my beast and have to admit its a little intimidating being my first FBL system Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD |

These are the settings I use and feel very comfortable with. I run Governor mode with the following: Normal = 35% flat TC for 2200 rpms (I take off, hover and land with this) ST1 = 70% flat TC for 2400 rpms (This is what I do 95% of my sport flying with) ST2 = 100% flat TC for 2600 rpms ( Excellent for 3D) I'm using ICE lite 75 with 15T pinion - 93 Main. Pitch Curves Normal = 47.5 - INH - 50 - 75 - 100 (for takeoff and landings only) ST1 = 34.5 -INH - 50 - 75 - 100 (for sport flying) ST2 = 0 - 25 - 50 -75 - 100 I use almost Identical settings on my 550e with great results. |

Interesting TC on your norm mode, I may try that as I also prefer flying in IU...at first the low 35% was surprising to see but I think I get it. I know this heli is light am agile so 35 may be a good tame setting for takeoff |

I'm on DX8.
I use 85% flat in IU1, and 96% on IU2. That gives me a general 3d machine (85%) and a show off machine (96%). MSH-YGE 60A ESC Scorpion 880Kv |

On my mini, I mounted mine directly under the main shaft. Works great, just a little awkward for setup.

I should have taken Dramamine before watching the video. Nice flying though.

+12/-12.
Try to keep it even. If you're talking about 7 cyclic, then yes. |

You want to keep the setup even, all arms at 90 degrees and zero degrees of pitch at half stick during heli setup. Then change your normal pitch curve to give you +5 degrees at half stick. It's easier for a beginer to modulate 12 degrees of total pitch rather then 24. The -2 gives you enough negative to get the heli down in a strong wind yet not too much so you don't slam the heli into the ground when you freak out and drop the stick and the +10 gives you enough power to get out of trouble without getting into trouble.
