Default LED's Powered Directly from Receiver - Max Current?

Sorry if this has been asked and answered before, but I was unable to find anything.

I would like to power my LED's via an unused RX channel ((Blade 450), but do not know the current-handling capability.

Also, am I correct in assuming 5VDC on this port?

Thanks in advance.

There is a power bus/Rail in the recivers over the + and - pins for servo output.
Volt out is same as volt in from Bec/regulator/rx battery.
Max amp is hard to tell, but if This is a full receiver it should have no problems handling the power demands of hi performance servos.

The signal out wire on the other hand is another thing.
Since it is just a control signal With pwm i would just use This signal to trigger a circuit for powering the leds.
Hard to tell the Max load on signal wire, but i would guess ttl level With Max load in the low milliamps.
Don't try to run any leds from signal wire.

Hobbycity has a turnigy receiver Controlled switch i belive.

Thanks, Jonny1. I knew the signal lead wouldn't be able to power anything directly, but I'm planning to have the lights on any time I'm powered up, so that's no problem.

I'm not sure how much current a ,servo pulls but you're right... it will be more than the load of a few LED's. I should have thought of that myself.

Thanks for the detailed reply.

A normal (not hi intensity) small led is about 0.020a each.
Servo is much more.
I would not worry. Only for shorts in led circuit as it would short out receiver as well.
