Default Kbdd 360mm

I spent the last couple sleepless nights due to my new born baby going through my warp cleaning bearings and Just making sure she's in top notch shape. I added the aluminum tail sides and I bought the kbdd main blades. They look good on my heli but I haven't heard of anyone using these. Has anyone had experience with these blades? And what is this plug for on the bottom of one of the blades? I have never had blades with this.

The plug is the result of balancing. I flew Mavrikk blades for a year, the balance was always spot on. These appear to have the same profile as Mavrikk blades.

That's not to say only Mavrikk uses this method of balancing. Spin Blades does this as well. I'm sure there are one or two other brands that do the same.

Ok, I thought so but was also thinking that it may have been a defect. Have you flown these blades before bob O?

No, I've not tried the KBDD, only the Mavrikks.

I have flown them quite a bit (both the standard and EE's).

Both required my retuning the AR7200BX on my Warp (which is fairly normal with changing blades).

With the EE's, I increased both the endpoints (which increased the rate of roll and flip at full stick deflection), and Pot 2 (feed forward).

What I ended up with was a slightly more stable Warp that is still very quick on cyclic.

I like these blades!

What head speed did you run on the warp with these? They say 2800 rpm's but i was going to run them higher. I'm just curious on what you ran.

I did not tach it.

I will get someone to tach it next time I take it out.

That would be great, thanks. I don't know when I will be able to fly it's pretty dang cold here.

Another question for you ah clem, what is difference between standard and extreme edition blades? All of the stats seem to match up except the ee are a gram heavier.

The EE's I have are a bit heavier.

They are also quite a bit stiffer, and so have a bit firmer feel in flight.

They did require a bit more tuning than the standard ones, but I like them better overall.

On most heli sites. Im pretty sure helidirect has them. They are the same size and shape as mavrikks. I read in a thread when they were first being released that they aren't rebrands of mavrikks...but I find that hard to believe when they are exactly the same. Heres some on helidirect http://www.helidirect.com/main-rotor...7_120_1830.hdx

Thanks...I looked on Helidirect, but I was looking under 360 mm...not 350 mm.

Yeah sorry about that , I was on the fence between the kbdd 350s and the rjx 360s so I mixed the numbers up.

Right on man, I was hoping their would be some sort of a difference for the price. I took my warp out for a test flight and these blades seemed pretty stiff. I like them better than the edge blades but more flights will tell me if they are better than the compass blades. Compass blades are light and very stiff and have great pop to them and seem like they put less load on the motor than the edge blades do. So this being the first flight I am liking them very much especially for the price.
